The Elevator Mystique, a short play by Cassandra Lewis was published in Issue 4 of Weave magazine.

Four characters from real life: Betty Friedan, Darwin’s beloved tortoise Harriet, renowned sexologist Dr. Money, and infamous kidnapper Joe Amsler, examine the purgatorial afterlife, which is set in a stuck elevator overlooking a shopping mall.

The play received a staged reading during the Weave Issue 4 launch party at Remedy in Pittsburgh on Saturday, September 25.  Special thanks and eternal gratitude to Laura E. Davis, the editor of the magazine and director of the play and to the amazingly talented actors: Janette Schafer, Eric Hayes, Michael Moats, and Sarah Shotland.
